About me

I am a Phd student at the Humanoid Robots Lab headed by Maren Bennewitz at the University of Bonn. I received my master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2014.

Research Interests

  • Human-robot-interaction
  • Indoor robot navigation
  • Service robots
  • Educational technology

Teaching

  • Seminar Humanoid Robots, WS2014/15 till SS2017, SS2018, WS2018/19
  • Lab Humanoid Robots, WS2014/15 till WS2016/17
  • Forschungsmethoden-Medienwissenschaften, SS2017, WS2017/18
  • Lecture Cognitive Robotics WS2017/18, WS2018/19

Projects

  • SQUIRREL - Clearing Clutter Bit by Bit (2014-2018)
    • Contributed to a team developing a robot for a toy cleaning scenario
    • Personally developed and integrated a gesture based human-robot-interface
    • Joint development and integration of the navigation system
    • Joint development of a robust user interaction framework in crowded environments
    • Personally developed a 2D-semantic path planner for cluttered environments
